Suet Logs Mealworm Flavour
Our suet logs are the perfect addition to your wild bird-feeding setup. They are designed to work as a complimentary food and are compatible with the range of suet feeders. Suet provides an effective combination of oils and fats that attracts a wide variety of birds to your garden, especially during the colder months. These suet logs are easy to handle and provide for the birds in all weathers, delivering a high-calorie nutrition boost to your garden visitors. Suitable for both adult birds and fledglings, each box contains 36 logs. Suet Logs are best served in a log feeder, placed inside fat ball ball feeders, or can be crumbled onto bird tables and into seed mixes.
Why We Recommend Logs
- Easy To Store: Logs take up considerably less room than products that come in larger boxes.
- Shelf Life: Logs can be kept for long periods of time without spoiling.
- Reduced Food Waste: Logs have minimal waste compared to loose pellets or seeds.
- Less Mess: Birds can easily consume them without scattering food around the feeding area, keeping your garden cleaner.
What Are Suet Logs?
As the name suggests, suet logs are cylindrical in shape, and their nutritional content is the same as our other fat based products, making them a highly nutritious bird food treat for your garden birds.
How to Feed Suet Logs to Birds?
Hanging feeders are the most common ways to feed a suet log to wild birds. Feeders can be hung from a tree or other suitable areas of your garden. Alternatively, place the logs on to a bird table, allowing ground-feeding birds like Blackbirds and Robins to enjoy them.
We sell hanging feeders separately, or you can get a free log holder when you buy logs from us.
Bird Species You Can Attract to Your Garden with Suet Logs
Logs are an excellent choice for attracting a wide variety of wild bird species to your garden. Blue Tits, Great Tits, Coal Tits, and Long-Tailed Tits are the main species that are drawn to these suet feeders. Woodpeckers and nut hatches are also big fans of suet products and can often be seen enjoying the buffet you’ve provided. Suet is best fed in a complimentary fashion, preferably alongside a quality wild bird seed mix for a balanced diet.
We would recommend pairing suet products with our popular Robin & Songbird Mix or No Grow Orange Feast. We also have high quality mealworm suet blocks and berry suet blocks for birds available in our store.
